This recipe came to us from our Doula, Elizabeth, as well. She made us a batch of these along with sharing the recipe. These cookies are a no-bake recipe, so they will need to be stored in the refrigerator to avoid a melted blob disaster. Totally worth it, these are delicious and they are full of all kinds of delicious nutritious new mommy ingredients. This is a great companion recipe to the Lactation Cookies. There are a lot of common ingredients.

2 cups of rolled oats

1 cup of nut butter (I used chunky peanut butter, but I think creamy would make forming the balls easier. Any variety of nut butter will work though)

1/2 cup ground flax

3 tbsp hemp seeds

2 tbsp brewers yeast

1/2 cup of dark chocolate chips

1/2 cup real maple syrup (not the corn syrup fake stuff. Be well, get the good stuff)

Super easy - combine all of the ingredients in a large bowl. Mix well

Line baking sheet with parchment - for good measure

form cookies into 2 tbsp balls on parchment paper

freeze for 20 minutes and store in refrigerator.

My hands were tired forming these half way through. They're worth the effort. I do think increasing the nut butter a little bit would help them form into balls easier.
